Lepakshi to start new Handicrafts showrooms

The Andhra Pradesh State Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd has plans
to open new showrooms in Guntur, Khammam and here at Banjara Hills, Road
No. 10.It will open a showroom at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport here in
the first week of January, 2009. V. Venkataramaiah, Vice-Chairman and
Managing Director, said to the media persons.He announced the inauguration of the renovated Rajahmundry Lepakshi
handicrafts emporium at a cost of Rs.15 lakhs.The Development Commissioner (handicrafts), New Delhi, has granted Rs.7.5
lakhs. The balance amount has been met from internal resources of the
corporation. The Rajahmundry showroom has achieved a sales target of Rs.66
lakhs in 2007-08. It is proposed to cross Rs.100 crores this year...
